What people are saying about our enterprise solutions
My second time to implement CareVoyant , and I'm just as glad this time around as before.
I first rolled out the system with another agency back in 2012, then implemented the software again last year with my current company. I'm pleased to say it's only gotten better. Web scheduling, Electronic Visit Verification, Clinical documentation, cloud support ... all these things and more make it a very strong match for our needs.
We are moving from processes that were mostly paper-based and manual. CareVoyant has helped us automate and streamline many of our workflows and save steps that were previously tedious and time-consuming. Billing, eligibility verification, payroll processing ... these are just some of the areas that now take minutes instead of days.
Very much recommended for agencies looking for a highly configurable solution.

Great software for Private Duty and Home Health
Our agency has been on CareVoyant since 2017. Since we have both the Home Health and Private Duty service lines, it has been difficult to find a software company that is capable in both. We do some unique things with our Private Duty side and CareVoyant is nimble to handle those changes.
They work hard to keep up with the new regulations with Medicare and most of time beat other software companies in delivering compliant software.
Our agency has been State survey deficiency free for the last 11 years. They worked hard to add enhancements so we can capture the necessary documentation that the surveyors are looking for. They also assisted us in encouraging better interdisciplinary communication in our documentation. If you do PD and Home Health, there should be part of your overall search.

Montana Home Care & EVV Compliance
Montana’s Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) program is administered by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS), which oversees the state’s Medicaid program. The EVV mandate applies to Medicaid-funded personal care and home health services and other applicable home and community-based services to ensure accurate visit documentation, improve accountability, and comply with federal requirements under the 21st Century Cures Act.
Key Montana EVV Regulations
Aggregator: Montana uses an EVV system powered by Netsmart as the state-designated EVV aggregator. All EVV visit data—whether captured through the state system or a third-party EVV solution—must be transmitted to the Netsmart platform for compliance and Medicaid reporting.
EVV Model: Montana follows an Open Model, allowing home care agencies to either use the state-provided EVV system or select an alternate EVV vendor, provided the vendor integrates with the state’s Netsmart EVV aggregator.
Service Types Covered: EVV is required for Medicaid-funded Personal Care Services (PCS) and Home Health Care Services (HHCS) delivered under Montana Medicaid programs. These visits must capture federally required EVV data elements such as the caregiver, service recipient, service location, date of service, and visit start and end times.
Implementation Deadlines:
Personal Care Services – January 1, 2021
Home Health Care Fee for Service – January 1, 2023
EVV Compliance Challenges in Montana
Integration With the State EVV Aggregator
In Montana, the Netsmart system serves as the state-designated EVV aggregator under the oversight of the DPHHS. Agencies using third-party EVV solutions must ensure proper integration and timely submission of visit data. Errors or rejected files can delay claims processing and create compliance risks.
Provider Responsibility in an Open EVV Model
Montana allows providers to select third-party EVV solutions, but agencies are responsible for ensuring their system meets state technical requirements and successfully communicates with the Netsmart aggregator. This adds operational complexity, particularly for smaller agencies managing software setup and data workflows.
Strict Data Accuracy and Compliance Oversight
DPHHS monitors EVV data closely to ensure that visit records, timestamps, caregiver details, and service codes match billing claims. Missing or inaccurate EVV documentation may lead to payment delays, claim denials, or required corrective actions, making accurate and timely data submission critical for compliance.
Montana Home Care Market Statistics
Growing Medicaid Home Care Demand: Montana provides home and community-based services (HCBS) to over 15,000 Medicaid beneficiaries, with demand rising as the state’s aging population increasingly chooses in-home care over institutional settings.
Caregiver Shortage: Montana faces a significant shortage of home health aides and direct care workers, especially in rural areas, leading to recruitment, retention, and scheduling challenges for agencies.
EVV Adoption & Compliance: Montana requires EVV for all Medicaid-funded personal care and home health services. Agencies can implement approved third-party EVV solutions that integrate with the state’s aggregator (Netsmart) to ensure accurate visit verification, compliance, and timely reimbursement.
